So last night, at my annual Christmas With Friends, I lost my phone. Acually, I lost it when I was sleeping in the car yesterday, waiting for my girlfriend to finish Christmas shopping. But that’s not the point (or maybe it is). The point is, that for the first time in a long time, I was without my phone.

Now I know most of you are gonna groan, and roll your eyes, but as much as I hate to hear it myself, I have to admit that this little piece of plastic and metal is my lifeline. So I spent the whole day feeling a little akward, a bit uninspired, and on the whole – pitifully alone. It’s weird, because although people generally lose their phones quite frequently, and I think I’ve lost mine numerous times before, I’ve never experienced this kind of detachment syndrome before. Oh well, I suppose that’s what I get for becoming to dependant on my technologies, and maybe this whole lesson was better for me anyway. Now, I’ve gotta go. I’ve gotta return 30 missed calls before bed. :)
