So Windows Vista is about a month away from being released, and I have been faced with a hardware conundrum. I’m not sure whether I should upgrade my desktop PC with more RAM, a nicer graphics card, and maybe a bigger hard drive, and then get Windows Vista OR start saving up for an Apple laptop.

I’ve actually always been a PC guy. But lately, with all the cool things that Apple is doing, plus the fact that all designers, artists, etc seem to use Apples I’ve been leaning a little more in that direction. I’m pretty sure I want a laptop instead of a new desktop, just because of space available in the apartment here.

So on one hand, I can spend considerably less upgrading this computer and getting windows vista, or I can save up more money, wait a lot longer and go with the Apple ibook (i think that’s what they’re called). What do you guys think?

P.S. Why do artists, designers, and creatives of all types seem to prefer Apples to PC’s anyway? I never could figure this out.
