So the other day I’m bored (acually it was about a month ago, I’ve gotten busy and forgot to write about it) and I’m checking out my visitor logs in textpattern. In case you don’t know, textpattern keeps a visitor log of where your visitors found your site, like i’m sure most CMS’s do. It’s an easy way to kill time, and it’s interesting to see who’s linking to you, talking about you, etc …
Well you could imagine my surprise when I see a link from google. I was so excited, it meant that someone accually found me through google. I clicked the link wondering what the keywords they used could have been. Web design? CSS? blogging? textpattern?
None of the above. The keyword was “amatuer”. And this is what the person who came to my site saw for results:

Not exactly the kind of traffic I was looking for, but I suppose at this point of the game any and all visitors are more than welcome.
It turns out that the guy stuck around to check out my portfolio, and a few of my blogs that’s cool, I guess. Then again, I could be a big help for any guy who gets caught googling the word ‘amatuer’. They could just tell their wives they were looking for my web design site. :)
