If you’ve had a chance to visit the site in the past few days, you’ll notice I’ve already installed my redesign. In all honesty there are a number of things that need to be finished but I’m surging ahead, despite them.
Why?
I wanted the new system in place so I could go ahead and get back to blogging. I think in a lot of ways the old design slightly impaired my motivation to write often, which is what any good blogger should so.
What isn’t fixed yet is not that important. Sure the comments don’t look great, the comment form is a little off, but these are all things that are fairly simple to edit.
Basically what I decided (or have come to realize) is that good, current content is king. I cope with broken layouts on all kinds of blogs on a daily basis, but it doesn’t keep me from reading the articles. However, a blogger who stops blogging can fall out of my RSS reader very quickly. It only makes sense to turn that same logic around on my own site.
So bear with me, as I get back into blogging on a daily basis, and the layout will fall into place in no time. :)
