For those of you who may not have been able to attend SXSW this year (myself included) there are a number of very good presentations available on the web. The links below take you to the presenters’ site where most of them have provided the slides as well as a link to the podcast of the show.
These are the best ones I’ve found so far:
Learning Intereaction Design From Las Vegas
by Dan Saffer.
An interesting look at Vegas, Myspace, and how design is what the people want, not what you want.
Web Typography Sucks
by Richard Rutter, and Mark Boulton
A very good primer on some fundamental typography principals, and exactly how to use them on the web.
After the Brief, a field guide to design inspiration
by Jason Santa Maria and Rob Weychert
A thouroughly entertaining, but useful presentation about inspiring yourself as a designer every day.
Other SXSW 2007 Podcasts available
This is the official SXSW ’07 podcast ddirectory where you can (hopefully) find more presentations being added soon.
